2026 London Marathon highlights

This year’s marathon has already been labelled one of the most historic ever, with Sabastian Sawe becoming the first man to run an official sub-two-hour marathon (1:59:30), alongside multiple record-breaking finishes across the field.

Laura Kenny’s personal essay

Laura Kenny has shared a powerful, very honest piece on miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, and the loss of control over your own body - published as she completed the London Marathon in aid of The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust.

She talks about:

  • How isolating it felt not telling people early

  • The frustration of a body that performs… except when it matters most to you

It’s an important read that raises awareness of ectopic pregnancy, but worth noting it may feel triggering for some. Read here.
